Our Company Profile:

Wickett & Craig has been tanning in North America for 140 years. For over 123 years, tanning operations were
conducted at the original tannery in Toronto, Ontario, Canada . Wickett & Craig's name has been synonymous
with traditional belting leather, a proven classic in quality luggage and leather goods.

In 1990, Wickett & Craig was relocated to Curwensville, PA - USA . The new tannery is a 180,000 square foot,
state-of-the-art, environmentally conscious, award winning facility.

During the past 140 years, we have been building our vegetable tanning experience to bring leathers to the
market which increases personal character and appeal with the aging quality that has become the Wickett &
Craig trademark.

WE HOLD FIRM TO THE BELIEF THAT THE QUALITY OF LEATHER SHOULD

BE MEASURED BY PERFORMANCE, NOT BY PRICE.



All Wickett & Craig leather is carefully selected from the best heavy native steer hides. Lime splitting and
vegetable pit tanning produce uniform base leather which is further enhanced by drum dyeing and retannages.  
A unique HOT STUFFING procedure then drives the all-natural combination of oil, wax, and grease deep into the
hide fibers.

Wickett & Craig leather is the premium choice for use in personal leather goods (luggage, business cases,
handbags, dress/casual belts) and equestrian products (harnesses, bridles, saddles, and strap goods). High
profile manufacturers such as Hartmann,Circle T, Boston Leather, Tory Leather Co., and many others have
chosen the unique characteristics of Wickett & Craig leather to give their products a quality image with a story.

The new tannery in Curwensville, PA has been built to increase availability of these specialty leathers to
discerning manufacturers worldwide.  The production staff, comprised of knowledgeable, experienced,
environmentally conscious people, understand the natural beauty of a fully vegetable tanned piece of leather that
is competitively priced and serviced in partnership with the customer.
